AWTUK shall supply and install window film to the windows specifically identified and agreed within the quotation or contract. Film type, specifications, dimensions, and characteristics will be confirmed during the consultation and quotation process. This ensures a clear and mutual understanding of the products and services to be provided.
Any tasks, services, or works not expressly included within the agreed quotation or contract fall outside the scope of this agreement. Should additional work, adjustments, or modifications be required during the installation process, such work may result in additional charges, which will be communicated where reasonably possible.
Installation will be carried out within the timeframe communicated during the quotation process. While every reasonable effort will be made to meet the agreed schedule, AWTUK shall not be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, equipment failure, access issues, or transportation delays.
Installation times typically range between one and six hours, depending on the size, complexity, and conditions of the project. All time estimates are indicative only and may vary based on site conditions or unforeseen factors.
Window films supplied and installed by AWTUK are covered by manufacturer warranties. Warranty terms, coverage, and duration vary depending on the product selected. Relevant warranty information will be provided at or following installation.
AWTUK provides an installation workmanship guarantee of up to ten (10) years. This guarantee covers defects arising directly from the installation process. It does not extend to damage caused by misuse, accidents, negligence, external impact, or factors outside of our control.
This guarantee does not apply to issues arising from improper care or maintenance, use of unsuitable cleaning products, physical damage, or unauthorised alteration of the window film. Adherence to the provided care and maintenance guidance is essential to ensure product longevity and performance.
Following installation, the appearance of small air bubbles, water bubbles, or temporary cloudiness may occur. This is normal and forms part of the curing process. The curing period may take up to one hundred (100) days, during which time windows should not be cleaned.
If bubbles or visual imperfections remain after the curing period has elapsed. AWTUK may, upon request, inspect the installation and determine whether any remedial action is appropriate.
Once fully cured, window film may be cleaned using a soft, non-abrasive cloth and an ammonia-free window cleaner. This will help preserve the appearance and lifespan of the film.
Abrasive materials, solvents, scourers, rough sponges, or harsh cleaning agents must not be used, as these may damage or degrade the films integrity. Gentle cleaning methods should always be employed.
If cancellation of an appointment is required, a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours’ notice must be provided. Cancellations made within forty-eight (48) hours of the scheduled installation may be subject to a cancellation fee of £50.
Requests to reschedule appointments are subject to availability. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate alternative dates, availability cannot be guaranteed.
AWTUK shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from the installation, except where expressly covered by the warranties set out in these Terms and Conditions or where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Every reasonable care is taken during installation. However, AWTUK accepts no responsibility for pre-existing defects or conditions affecting windows, frames, seals, or surrounding areas, including but not limited to cracks, chips, scratches, uneven surfaces, damaged seals, or structural defects. Where such conditions exist, installation will be carried out to the best extent reasonably possible, but a flawless finish cannot be guaranteed. Installation quality is directly influenced by the condition of the glass and surrounding structures.
